The CABA Canadian Association of Body Arts in Tattoos & Body Art Directory

The idea of CABA began to take form in the early summer of 1995 as a collaboration of two Toronto body art studios, Stainless Studios Body Art and Urban Primitive Design Studio, and BME. Formative discussions were held and a fundraising picnic was held at Serena Gundy on July 9th. That event went well, with a bonfire and spirit drummers late into the night. Also that summer, CABA released its Guide to Safe Body Art. After that however, CABA was put somewhat on hold with its core members busy with other projects. Then in late 1996, Thomas Brazda of Stainless Studios in Toronto and Denise Robinson of Ambient in Ottawa have begun to revive CABA, with much more serious steps being taken to make CABA a federally incorporated nonprofit corporation.
